First of all, this is my first time back on my blog in a looooong time. I figured that this would be one of the easier ways to communicate with a large group of people.
On Sunday, the family and I loaded up the truck and my car and headed down to West Lafayette. We had quite the surprise when we realized that part of 25 was closed. After a long detour and a stop in Delphi, we were back on our way. The weather didn't seem to want to cooperate either--it was 95 and humid! There is no air in our apartment so we had a toasty time unpacking all of my stuff. We ate at Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and then continuecd unpacking. Jon and Alli were great helpers--Alli took care of my desk and Jon was ready to tackle any of the construction projects that we had. Dad and Mom worked on the loft, which really freed up the room.
Boiler Gold Rush is this week, which is the freshman orientation program at Purdue. We have been really busy with various sessions, comedians, and campus tours. Wednesday is our last day of orientation, then we are free to do whatever. Tonight is the party at the Union which should be a lot of fun. After that we have a run to Meijer--and I am looking forward to buying some filters for my coffee maker!
I'll try to update this blog weekly--more often if I have to do so.
Boiler up!
