Rain

The rain is falling steadily on my windowpane

As I stare out into the dark night wondering where you are

I wish the rain would wash away,

Every memory I have of you

Far, far away into the sea

To the ocean depths I can never reach.

For if you were far away,

I would never want, hope, reach for you again.

And instead of watching the rain,

I could become the rain

Starting anew, all over again
